AI-generated prose has tells. You've felt them: the paragraph that resolves too neatly, the metaphor that fits without a snag, the sentence that no one would actually say out loud. The vocabulary is part of it ("tapestry," "delve," "navigate"), but the structural ones are harder to identify.
I built a game to name them. It's called AIisms.
You read a passage, rate it on a slider from "Clearly human" to "Clearly AI," and select the phrases that gave it away. Score a few dimensions of machine style: monotone rhythm, emotional flatness, too-tidy structure.
Every rating feeds a ranked public lexicon of AI tells. The full corpus goes public for anyone to use. The top rater each week wins a prize.
